The future of BioSafe single use plastic is here!
Get In Touch!Single-use plastics are a concern to not only our oceans and wildlife, but to our bodies too because of harmful microplastics. At BioSafe, we believe that it doesn’t have to be an all or nothing conversation when using a straw.
That’s why we have strategically partnered with Danimer Scientific to use their newest, most advanced biopolymers, to design our products with form and function.
With our Go Blue straws, you don't have to drink out of a noodle, a soggy paper straw, or go without the convenience of a straw. So go ahead, sip away guilt-free,
PHAs (polyhydroxyalkanoates) are polyesters biosynthesized by a bacterium fed by inexpensive oils derived from the seeds of plants such as canola, soy, and palm. BioSafe® is proud to be teamed up with Danimer Scientific and to be using their most cutting edge bio-polymer PHA breakthrough, Nodax.
In comparison to traditional petroleum based plastics that are created with toxic manufacturing methods Nodax PHA bioplastics occur in the cells of the bacteria during growth.
Nodax PHA is the first of it’s kind in that the bioplastic resin is certified by Vinçotte as biodegradable and compostable in all mediums, including soil, aerobic and anaerobic compost, freshwater and saltwater environments. This is extremely exciting to us here at BioSafe because the applications for this biopolymer can easily take the place of the existing traditional use of petroleum based plastics. As our products break down they leave behind no microplastics or harmful chemical residue.
